
Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) is the methodology for safety that focuses on workers’ behavior as the cause of most work-related injuries and illnesses. According to statistics, in around 80 to 90 percent of all incidents, Employee behavior played an essential part. BBS focuses on identifying and reinforcing a safety culture and providing the employees the opportunity to address the critical aspects of building and promoting an incident-free culture. This course will focus on identifying and reinforcing safe behaviors, and, therefore reducing unsafe/at-risk behaviors. Safety in the workplace is influenced by a number of factors such as the environment, attitude, commitment, and personal attributes of the individual. Safety performance can be improved by addressing these major influences.
