The Timber Work Safety Awareness course provides essential knowledge for individuals involved in basic timber and carpentry activities within construction environments. This programme introduces participants to the fundamentals of timber work, focusing on safe working practices, hazard awareness, and compliance with site safety requirements.

The course covers the types of timber commonly used in construction, including softwood, hardwood, plywood, and formwork panels, alongside the safe use of basic hand tools and power tools. Particular emphasis is placed on recognising common hazards associated with timber work, applying appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and adopting correct manual handling techniques to prevent injuries.

Good housekeeping practices and effective waste control are also addressed to promote a safe, organised, and efficient work area.
