
The Timber Work Manager Course is a professional management-level programme developed in line with UK construction safety and management standards. It is designed to equip senior personnel with the knowledge, skills, and leadership capability required to plan, manage, and control timber and formwork activities at project and organisational level.
This course focuses on the strategic management of timber work, integrating safety management systems, legal compliance, temporary works control, and high-risk activity management. Participants will develop competence in governance, planning, resource control, contractor management, and performance monitoring related to carpentry and formwork operations.
Strong emphasis is placed on legal duties, management accountability, audit and assurance processes, and incident management, including lessons learned from major timber and formwork failures. The programme also strengthens leadership and decision-making skills, supporting the development of a positive safety culture within timber and carpentry trades.
